This year's Hall of Fame Annual Meeting of the membership, and election of first and second term Directors, was held at Kawaiaha`o's "Likeke Hall" on September 19. After the business meeting, which opened with a prayer for the victims of September 11 and their families, as well as a Blessing for the world and the work of the Hall of Fame, the year's progress was reviewed.

• Genoa Keawe and the Haili Choir were inducted into the Hall of Fame at the annual Hawai`i Theatre concert, produced and directed by Kahauanu Lake.
• E Mele Kakou, our elementary school Hawaiian music education program is expanded to include the Hawai`i Youth Opera Chorus instructors who will help train school music teachers to carry the program forward. The Fall in-school session started with an enthusiastically received music festival.
• Kawaiaha`o Church Board of Trustees president, Mitsuo Shita, invited the Hall of Fame to make the church's historic premises the home of the Hall of Fame koa exhibits, and the future home of our museum and source center, as part of their planned expansion program.

When the business was completed, Annual Meeting attendees enjoyed talk story over ono-licious pupus and punch. They even got to take some home!
