Richard Rodby's Proclamation by the Mayor
Richard and Joan Rodby before meeting
the mayor. Richard "Dick" Rodby has nurtured many local musicians,
notably Charles K. L. Davis, at Kemo'o Farm Restaurant in Wahiawa. Some
of the other musicians who played there are Emma Veary, Nina Keali'iwahamana,
Marlene Sai, Vicky Rodrigues, Andy Cummings, Irmgard Farden Aluli, Mahi
Beamer, Van Diamond, Rene Paulo, Brothers Cazimero, Karen Keawehawai'i,
Myra English, Eddie Kamae and the Sons of Hawai'i, Bill Ka'iwa, Kahauanu
Lake, Jesse Kalima, and Palani Vaughan. Richard, who currently serves on
the HMHF board, is a long-time and generous supporter of the Hawaiian Music
Hall of Fame.
