Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony/Luncheon on April 29

Saturday, April 29 from 11 A.M. to 1 p.m., the Hawaiian Music Hall of Fame will conduct its Year 2000 Induction Ceremony in a new setting. The annual event to honor new inductees into the Hall of Fame will take place in the Grand Ballroom of the Hawaiian Regent Hotel.

For the first time, the event will be open to all Hall of Fame members and their guests. After greetings by Hall of Fame President, Francis Keala, a special Hall of Fame plaque will be presented to honoree families. A full buffet luncheon and some special entertainment will follow.

"We chose noontime on a weekend this year, so that more people could attend, especially our Hawaiian entertainers who normally work evenings." said Richard Rodby, event chairman. "Seating will be at round tables of eight so that friends may enjoy talking story over good food."

Tickets are $25 to cover event costs, and must be purchased in advance. Members wishing to, may "buy" a full table for themselves and their guests. Checks made out to "Hawaiian Music Hall of Fame" will be accepted through the mail until April 15 only. Mail checks or money orders to the Hawaiian Music Hall of Fame at P.O. Box 1619, Kailua, HI 96734. Be sure to include your name and phone number, in case we need to contact you.

Credit card payment by phone will be accepted from April 1 through April 28 by calling . Tickets will be held for members at the Courtesy table outside the Grand Ballroom. Parking in the hotel garage or open lot on street is free with ticket validation at the event.
