Here it is as best as I can recall. Come with me to the islands Come my love, follow follow me Under the lure of pure enchantment Love will unfold her golden mystery All night long I will hold you Till the stars slip into the sea I'll weave a crown of rainbows in your hair Many a moon I'll spend with thee Love is waiting follow me. |

Here's a partial set of the lyrics and the translation: Haere mai, t'au here (Come to me, my beloved) I raro te aveia. (Underneath the stars) I haven't heard it in long time, but I lived in Tahiti for 2 years and remember this much. |

Are there any more lyrics? I found this when I googled "come with me to the Islands" this is indeed the song. when I was a lad of 15 I seeme to recall that we had this on a 33 1/3 vinyl LP of movie themes. it also had Exodus and More and Pink Panther under the moon of pure enchantment. check youtube Sarah Brightman: Stranger in Paradise. And... I think I can remember seeing that movie. I was a 15 year-old kid who had just read James Michner's Hawaii. At the time, I thought it was a horrible movie. All the extras they used to play the crowds of wild native people were pitiful looking. Not beautiful nature boys. They must have found these actors in the bars of whatever country that movie was made in. They did not hire the local swimming champions. |
