| Hi, On our way to Hawaii this summer Hawaiian Airlines showed a program on the Children's Choir that sang for Lilo & Stitch. On the program the children sang a song with some of these words in it and it has been playing in my head for months. I would truely appreciate knowing the song title so I can find a recording of it. What I remember is "Keep us safe from harm, guide us through the storm, to a place that we call home" Also I remember something about "let that be our prayer" I have looked to see if the choir has any CD's and have not located any. Thanks for your help. |

| Those two catchy songs were created by Mark Keali'i Ho'omalu, a mainland hula teacher who is considered a renegade in traditional chanting and dancing. But you should read these two stories from the Honolulu paper: http://the.honoluluadvertiser.com/article/2002/Jul/11/il/il03a.html http://the.honoluluadvertiser.com/article/2003/Apr/22/il/il02a.html They should explain why there is not a definitive translation for those songs. But you can draw some conclusions about them. The one Hawaiian language verse of "Hawaiian Rollercoaster Ride" simply talks about being carried on his surfboard over the sea quickly and gently and how wonderful it is. "He Mele No Lilo" is actually a name chant praising King Kalakaua, the 19th century monarch of Hawaii who is credited with reviving hula and chant after years of decline. You hear the line "'O Kalakaua he inoa, 'O ka pua mae'ole i ka la", which means "the name of Kalakaua, a flower that does not fade in the daylight," or something like that, a very common poetic reference to the late king. RE: Dancing to "He Mele No Lilo" (A Song of Lilo) The choreography was created by Mark Keali'i Ho'omalu and, like most hula, is not written down in any standard dance notation, though there are names for most movements in the hula. Ho'omalu's dancers were filmed and translated faithfully to the cartoon characters, so the dancing in the movie is what Ho'omalu created for his dance troupe. Ho'omalu is very creative and some of the movements aren't necessarily traditional hula, though it's all exciting to watch. The movie itself is probably the best option for copying the dance. Since "Hawaiian Rollercoaster Ride" is not in one of the three traditional hula tempos, so it would be hard to associate dancing with it. FWIW, Jesse Tinsley |

I know the soundtrack is new, but I just love this song on the movie and soundtrack...It is by Dennis and David Kamakahi and is called "Always". I tried finding the lyrics and maybe they aren't anywhere...hoping maybe it is an old song that they have re-recorded??? Part of the chorus says...(sorry for misspellings) E nei e, Ohh, E Ku'ulei I will love you always, The movie says it is a song/story about the friendship between Hi'iaka and Lohiau (???) Mahalo! |

Hello everybody! Does anyone know where I can purchase/download, by any means get the song that is played at the end of Lilo and Stitch 2 when Lilo is holding Stitch. The singer is saying "I will love you" followed by some awesome Hawaiian music. I have purchased the sound track with no luck. I think the song might be He Makana Ke Aloha (A Gift of Love) based on the end credits, but I am not sure. Any help is so very much appreciated!! Thank you very much!! |

Update!!! Since I thought I was loosing my mind on this, I decided to e-mail the man who translated the song! Here is his e-mail reply. It appears there is an English version and Hawaiian version. Where to get the English one at that is sung by the Enya sounding woman is a mystery. E-mail Reply: Aloha Shane, They are both the same song, except for the English words and Hawaiian language version. The end of the movie song is sung by me as well as during Lilo's Hula competition and when Lilo and Stitch go to the service station and hear the song for the first time. The song “Always" was translated into the Hawaiian language by me. As far as the English vocals, I don't know of any recording nor if Disney intends to release the English version. I LOVE the song "Always." It's on the Disney's Lilo & Stitch Island Favorites CD. I bought mine at Disneyland in the 20th Century Music Shop, but I'm sure you can find it anywhere that sells CDs. Does anyone have the lyrics to it? I would love to sing along to it! |

I think it's called "the Prayer" Look up Charlotte church CD's -- one of them has this song. It is very beautiful. I think she even duets it with Josh Groban who sings in Italian |

Hi everyone, does anybody know where to download 'Always' song. Just bought my daughter the Lilo & Stitch 2 DVD, and she just couldn't stop singing this 1 particular song ever since. And I must admit I have fallen in love with the song myself. I tried to download it from iTune but with no luck. If any of you guys have the song, plezzzzzzz.... plezzzzz... email me with it. Would really appreciate it so much. May I also add, I have been looking to download the song since 2 weeks ago. I've seen on here that many people have requested the female version of the song "Always" from the very emotional part of the second Lilo & Stitch movie. I would always like it but it seems like no one has it. many people dont realize this, but if you go to 'languages' on any dvd, and tell it to play subtitles, it will show the lyrics to all the music ;) lol, we did this for the lilo and stitch dvd, and it shows the lyrics to the music... we are teaching our children spanish, so we just go to 'languages' and play the movie en espanol for them, and have the subtitles in english, although the hawaiian music lyrics show in the original language :) just a heads up for anyone that cares in the future! |

RE: In Flight Program - Lilo & Stitch The song your talking about is "The Prayer". Charlotte Church sang it and its on her Enchantment CD. But if the one you heard had Hawaiian in it, that was sung by the Kamehameha Schools Hawaii Campus. I don't think is on CD. |

Hi. I have a daughter who is a year old and who loves the Lilo and Stitch Movies. The song that some people are looking for that have been posted is "Always" by Dennis and David Kamakahi. This is a song that I sing my daughter to sleep each night. The movies are wonderful and the music that comes out of it are even better. Mahalo! |

Everybody has this song Always (Dennis and David Kamakahi) stuck in my head. Mommy, Daddy, Ange, Avery, Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Michael, Chelsea, Julia, Mrs. Wilmot, Justine, Tante Shy, Shayne and Taylor all know Always performed by Dennis and David Kamakahi. |

I just seen the whole movie of L&S: Stitch has a Glitch.. and around the end when Stitch dies, I really like the song that started to play after Lilo says something like "You're my ohana, Stitch , and l will always love you." The only part of the song I heard was "I will love you" starting off by a women, then it changed into some guy singing it. Much Help appreciated. |
